Processed Meats

I come a cross a lot of studies and research articles. Lately I have seen a lot more chatter about meat and processed meats. This is the most recent article I read.

This is an interesting article as there is a large amount of participants. This is a good thing to have more confidence in the findings. The main take away is to eat less then two servings of ultra processed meats weekly. Ultra processed meats are and not limited too sausage, bacon, bologna, spam, etc. Eating these items more than 2 times weekly can increase chances of cancer and cardiovascular disease. I was recently interviewed for an article in the Santa Fe New Mexican about anti inflammatory diet. This reinforces those thoughts that a diet high in fruits and vegetables is the most optimal for good health. Trying to limit the amount of ultra processed foods can improve one's health.
